Blue October has endured the test of time, something all rockers strive to achieve. His music has evolved, and so have his concerts. I will always appreciate 80's music, but Blue October has transcended that era. His latest release, "Venus in Overdrive," showcases both the old and new Blue October. Even at 62, he can still rock the house. The energy he brings to his shows is unmatched. He is a rocker who performs for his fans, not for money or ego. He has managed to reinvent himself and infuse his life experiences into his music. Although he has shortened the length of his concerts somewhat, he never fails to impress. I rated it 4 stars, considering he may have had a fundraiser and another performance 800 miles away the next night. Nevertheless, he is always a must-see in concert.
